ThruMyWindow
As the gallery name 'ThruMyWindow' might suggest all of the images in this gallery were taken through my double glazed kitchen windows or bifold doors. I have a feeding station directly opposite the windows about 3 metres away. There is small bird table to the right and then a purposely placed perch to the right again. There is a hedge another couple of metres beyond the feeding station. As long as I keep the windows clean (which they rarely are!) I can take pictures from the comfort and warmth of my kitchen.
The images in this gallery could not be classed as masterpieces but they do illustrate that it is possible to get pleasing results shooting through closed and often grubby windows. All the images are taken handheld.
On a daily basis the feeders are full of House Sparrows, Robin, Blue, Coal and Great Tits and Goldfinches. Other frequent visitors include Dunnock (Hedge Sparrow), Long Tailed Tits and on rarer occasions there are Nuthatch, Marsh Tit and Siskin.
